What we check

Two institutions, two numbers. The BRS registers the company and prints its number on the certificate of incorporation; the KRA issues the PIN used for tax. Dun & Bradstreet must carry the registered name behind both.

Worth knowing in Kenya

Registration number and PIN are separate

Registering with the BRS and registering with the KRA are separate events at separate institutions, producing separate numbers. We ask for both because each proves a different thing.

A company PIN, not a personal one

A PIN beginning with A belongs to an individual. The D-U-N-S number identifies the company, so the PIN we need is the company's, beginning with P0.
